Dear Journal;

I have grown old over the years. Were has the time gone? A full life I have lived, here in Russia. I have been affected and shaped right along side of my country. Many things have changed me, everything from my fathers in 1886 death to Lenin’s death 1922, but nothing has affected me as much as the happenings of January 22 1905 when my beloved brother Viktor was killed. I swore on that day I would live to see the end of The Czar and I have accomplished that.

I have been blessed over the years, I had a great mother and father, met a great woman, had the greatest daughter anyone could have, and now am blessed with 3 grandsons. The darkest times of Russia have passed and just as I said would happen Russia has been retransformed into the power that she should be.

If any of my past decisions could be changed I would have marched that day proudly beside my brother, marching for the freedom from oppression. I still feel foolish for being blinded back in those days, for not seeing the truth. But alas what good dose talk such as this do?

Lenin’s death was also especially painful for all of Russia revolution, and I feel for myself more than anyone, although I hardly knew the man I felt a special attraction and respect for the man. He omitted a radiance that all could see, he shared almost all my views and has accomplished everything he set out to.

I must say the thing that surprised me the most was my accuracy in seeing what was going to happen, but I always knew that God was right there on my shoulder. Nothing has snuck up on me, except age, I never saw this coming. french revolution

Life has been good, hard but good and I have survived. I told you I would.

Alexander
